Opportunities like this one don't come along but once in a great while. This course may be the best urban, public golf opportunity anywhere in the country. Thanks to my good freind, Jason Way, I've found myself on a design team with extraordinary talent and vision, including David Zinkand (who is leading the effort), also a good freind and my shaping colaborator at Old Elm Club, Luke Donald, one of the greatest players in golf (and also a Northwestern grad), and Todd Quitno, a fellow ASGCA member from the Chicago area. Together, we aim to collaborate to create something entirely unique... a golf experience that is more varied and inviting than anything we've ever seen...to players of all age and description, and all within the context of an amazing neighborhood setting.
The project has attracted the interest of so many... the support has been unanimous. Hopefully the funding will receive the same interest and commitment! I really look forward to seeing this through - it just seems destined for success. Jason's vision is right on!
