When GCA polled architects about their work on college golf courses, JDR was quick to call out his involvement... a special one, at his alma mater, the University of Kentucky. As a 1991 graduate from UK's Landscape Architecture program, Drew was most fortunate to return in 2001 to steer a major renovation of the school's University Club and "Big Blue Course". The extensive work scope was headed by Drew while still working with Arthur Hills and soon dignified the property as having a much more deserved identity and a course with enough grit to host the SEC Golf Championships in 2002.
Since then, JDR has gone on to continue his relationship with the school, its facilities and its golf coaches. He has conducted studies on the sister course, the "Wildcat" as well as the practice facilities utilized by the golf teams, calling for improvements that will help UK's teams remain compeitive as ever! Go Big Blue!
