Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 17, 2026
J Drew Rogers (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you provide when you visit and use this website.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected through this website, how that information is used, how it may be stored or shared, and the choices you have regarding your information.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with this website, we may collect the following types of information.
Information You Provide
You may voluntarily provide personal information when you:
- Submit a contact or other form through the website;
- Leave a comment on a blog post;
- Contact us by email; or
- Otherwise communicate with us through the website.
This information may include your name, email address, website address, telephone number, the content of your message or comment, and any other information you choose to provide.
We use this information to respond to inquiries, communicate with you, provide requested information or services, moderate comments, and otherwise respond to your requests.
Automatically Collected Information
When you visit the website, certain technical information may be automatically collected by the website, its hosting environment, analytics services, and security tools. This may include:
- IP address;
- Browser type and version;
- Operating system;
- Device information;
- Referring website;
- Pages visited;
- Date and time of visits;
- Requested URLs; and
- Other technical information contained in standard web server logs.
This information may be used to operate, maintain, secure, analyze, and improve the website and to investigate technical problems, abuse, or security incidents.
2. Contact Forms
The website uses WPForms to provide contact and other forms.
When you submit a form, the information you enter is used to respond to your request and for other purposes reasonably related to your communication with us.
Form submissions may include information such as your name, email address, telephone number, and the contents of your message, depending on the fields included in the particular form.
Form submissions are stored in the website’s WordPress database using the WPFormsDB plugin. They may also be delivered by email to the website owner or other designated recipients.
We do not use information submitted through contact forms for unrelated marketing purposes unless you have separately agreed to receive such communications.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information through a website form unless specifically requested.
3. WPForms Lite Connect
The website uses WPForms Lite Connect to provide a backup of form submissions.
When Lite Connect is enabled, form submission information is encrypted on the website before being transmitted to WPForms’ servers for backup storage. According to WPForms, Lite Connect backups are stored for up to one year and are intended to allow form entries to be restored if the website later upgrades to a paid WPForms license.
The information backed up through Lite Connect may include the contents of form submissions as well as technical and administrative information associated with the website and form submission.
WPForms states that the form entry information is encrypted before transmission and stored privately on its infrastructure.
4. Form Submission Storage
The website uses the WPFormsDB plugin to store WPForms submissions in the website’s WordPress database.
Information submitted through a form may therefore be retained on the website’s hosting environment. Access to these submissions is limited to authorized individuals who administer or manage the website.
Form submissions may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, maintain business records, provide requested services, or otherwise fulfill the purposes for which the information was submitted.
5. Comments
Comments may be enabled on certain blog posts.
If you leave a comment, WordPress may collect the information you provide in the comment form, such as your name, email address, website address, and comment content. WordPress also processes your IP address and browser user-agent information for purposes such as spam detection and comment moderation.
Approved comments, including the name and content you submit, may be publicly displayed on the website.
If you choose to save your name, email address, and website in your browser for future comments, WordPress may store this information in cookies on your device. This is optional and is intended to make it easier for you to submit future comments.
6. Google Analytics
The website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the website and to measure website traffic and performance.
Google Analytics may collect information including:
- Number of users and sessions;
- Pages viewed and interactions with the website;
- Approximate geographic location;
- Browser and device information;
- Referring sources; and
- Other information associated with website usage.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies, including the _ga cookie, to distinguish users and sessions.
Google Analytics may also process information such as IP addresses for purposes including determining approximate geographic location and routing data to an appropriate Google data collection center. Google states that raw IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics data.
We use Google Analytics for website analytics and performance measurement. We do not intentionally send personally identifiable information, such as names or email addresses, to Google Analytics.
You may be able to limit or disable Google Analytics through your browser settings, privacy controls, or available Google opt-out tools.
7. Cloudflare Turnstile
The website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect forms and other website functions from spam, abuse, and automated activity.
Turnstile may process technical information and signals associated with your visit, including your IP address, browser and device characteristics, user-agent information, and information identifying the website on which Turnstile is being used.
This information is processed to determine whether a request is likely to come from a human user or an automated system and to help protect the website against abuse.
Cloudflare Turnstile is provided by Cloudflare, Inc. Turnstile is designed to minimize data collection and does not use cookies for its bot-detection function.
8. Website Redirect and Error Logs
The website uses the Redirection plugin to manage redirects and monitor broken or missing URLs.
The website’s current Redirection configuration retains redirect and 404 error logs for approximately one week.
IP address logging is disabled in the website’s Redirection configuration, and the website does not currently capture HTTP header information through Redirection logs.
Redirection logs may contain technical information about redirect and error requests, such as requested URLs, destination URLs, dates and times, and other information necessary to manage and troubleshoot website redirects.
These logs are used for website maintenance, troubleshooting, and identifying broken or improperly configured links.
9. Cookies
This website may use cookies and similar technologies necessary to provide website functionality, remember user preferences, support comments, and analyze website traffic.
Examples include:
- Google Analytics cookies, such as
_ga, which are used to distinguish users and sessions for analytics purposes; - WordPress comment cookies, when a commenter voluntarily chooses to save their name, email address, and website for future comments; and
